Our Mission & Vision
Mission: We exist to seek God’ s peace for south Oklahoma City through redemptive relationships and holistic community development.
Vision: We partner with others to make south OKC a place where every person has access to the resources they need to thrive.

Our Place
A place-based community development corporation
The work of RCDC is deeply rooted in a specific square of Southwest Oklahoma City, bounded by I-44 to the west, I-35 to the east, I-240 to the south, and I-40 to the north. This geographic focus isn’t just a boundary; it’s our home. By concentrating our efforts here in conjunction with the story of Redemption church, we can build the long-term, deep-seated relationships necessary for true community flourishing.
Focusing on the neighborhoods within this highway “square” allows us to be neighbors. It shapes our work by keeping us present and responsive to the unique challenges and opportunities of our place. We believe that by continuing to follow God in these specific streets and zip codes, we create a ripple effect of redemptive impact that strengthens the entire city and beyond.

KEY GUIDING SCRIPTURES
Jeremiah 29:7
"And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare."
Micah 6:8
"The Lord God has told us what is right and what he demands: “See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God.”"
Matthew 5:9
Romans 12:9-18
"Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone."
